On August 20th 2021 Henrik Lundqvist announced his retirement from professional ice hockey after 15 years with the New York Rangers. Lundqvist owns almost every record for goalies in Rangers history including victories shutouts playoff wins and games played. He set an NHL record by winning six consecutive Game 7s. Lundqvist set an Olympic record for longest shutout streak (172:34) between the 2006 and 2010 Games. On Feb. 11 2017 he became the 12th goalie in NHL history to reach 400 victories.
